While raising a car insurance claim, make sure that you keep the following documents handy:

1. Copy of the policy document

2. Copy of valid driving license

3. Filled & attested (by the insured) car insurance claim form of your car insurer

4. Copy of valid registration certificate (RC)

5. Copy of police FIR (If required in the case of theft/third-party claims)

6. Car repair bills from the garage
